Crafted with love, DelBrenna Links has become the cornerstone of our jewelry collection. The handmade chain design originates from a unique building technique—a family secret—in which every link is hand-soldered.

The artisanal labor is intense! Approximately 88 steps per inch must be completed flawlessly from a single piece of raw silver to the final chain.

The Links design is so precious to us because it represents our family bond and legacy carefully passed down for generations. And thanks to the invention of Links, every piece of the DelBrenna collection has a distinctive flair exclusive to the family — so its 50th anniversary certainly deserves a big celebration!

The DelBrenna story is one of love, family, and passion carried for centuries along our journey of innovation, growth, and a deep sense of connection with each other as well as with everyone who has ever purchased, worn, and loved our jewelry.

And it couldn’t be otherwise: one link, hand-carved into the next and the next from one piece of silver—is the single element that forms our chain. It is the symbol of our family bond. Thus, our Links chain represents the connections that unite us all.

Over the years, the Links design has become the icon of DelBrenna because each chain is a testament to our dedication to crafting pieces that are not only beautiful — but carry years of history, our family heritage, and the soul of the artisan who built the chain, link after link.

THE story

With this anniversary, we’re reminded of the history that brought us here today. Rarely do you find a family business whose deep roots go back through the centuries, but the DelBrenna crest dates back to 1201! Initiated by Massimo's father, the tradition of jewelry-making has been ongoing since 1947—a three-generation legacy.

In 1974, when Massimo worked as a wholesale jewelry maker, he invented the chain’s design. Because it was incredibly labor intensive, it was set aside and almost forgotten among other chain design samples in Massimo’s studio.

Many years later, when Sebastian and Megan decided to start a retail business in 2008, they dug through the family studio until they rediscovered the Links design and decided to invest in its uniqueness.

Being handcrafted from start to finish, the Links production process takes a lot of time, effort, and expertise. However, it’s not the time it takes that matters; it is the beauty and unicity of the design that literally turned a hidden treasure into an ICON.

The original Links chain was five millimeters in diameter, but once we perfected the building technique, we played with shapes and sizes to develop different chain dimensions and new chain elements other than Links: Ciambelle, Cylinders, and Beads.

DelBrenna was founded around a chain design that speaks the language of exclusivity. Now, after 50 years, we proudly use this design to build most of our collections and often wrap the chain around gemstones or coins to make unique rings, pendants, and more. Our Iconic chains have withstood the test of time - made to last forever!
